We here at Loughrea Equestrian Centre believe that Equestrian Activities should be available to everyone regardless of your age or physical ability.

 

Our Carriage Trail Rides are perfect for you.  All our carriages are wheelchair accessible and are ideally suited to people with a disability.

 

We venture out on amazing trail rides.  Ireland is full of fantastic trail rides that are normally not accessible to wheelchair users, but with our carriages you really can explore the beauty, history, nature and archeology of Ireland all from the comfort of a horse drawn carriage.

 

 

 

 

 

Our Carriages are fully suited to the off road conditions on the trail, and very comfortable to ride in.  They can be covered over with a canopy in the result of rain. They are pulled by 2 fully trained horses that are very used to pulling carriages in off road conditions.

 

Also on our trails is a horse drawn wheelchair accessible toilet facility.  Access to proper toilet facilities is very important for our  customers, as the trails are located on routes that do not have adequate toilet facilities.  Recognising this we provide the facilities to ensure that the needs of our customers are met to the highest standard.

 

Our Carriages are equiped with a GPS tracker in the very unlikely event of an emergency.

 

These holidays are perfect for groups or families with a disabled family member.  Everyone can ride in the carriage, or if they wish they can ride alongside on a horse. So it is a holiday perfect for everyone.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Our trails really are magnificent and have to be seen to be believed.  We trail around The Burren, down the coast of Clare with its magnificent vistas of the Atlantic Coast and the Cliffs of Moher, we trail through forest tracks and through the Slieve Aughty mountains and trail around some beautiful lakes.  Our trails are full of historical monuments,  castles, medieval monuments, megalithic tombs and ring forts. Learn all about the history of Ireland, experience the wide diversity of flora in The Burren, and don't forget to bring your camera to record this holiday of a lifetime.
