Alternatives to Air Travel

Tired of the hassle of flying; flight delays, security checks, baggage restrictions - there are alternatives.

Travel by Sea, there are a number of Ferry operators who travel daily between Ireland and the UK,  Stena line, Irish Ferries or P&O

Or an even better way to travel to Ireland is to use Sail / Rail combine the ferry and rail travel  and Ireland is accessible from anywhere in Europe.

If you are travelling from the UK, check out Sailrail, a partnership between a number of the UK train companies, ferry operators and Irish Rail. They offer you competitive and guaranteed one-way fares with no taxes to pay.

Travelling by train is a much more practical option than most people imagine, it in fact can be a lot easier and less stressful than flying.  Travelling by Train is a much more comfortable and interesting way to travel.  You can take in the scenery along the way to your destination, there are no baggage restrictions or small cramped seats, and no hidden airline taxes and charges!

Though is this age of airline dominance, it can sometimes be hard to get useful information on rail travel.  A brilliant website to find all the information you will ever need is www.seat61.com . Check it out you might never feel like flying again!!!
